The Agape Center is a God-directed outreach ministry with the goal of attending to the felt need of man while addressing man's spiritual need in a manner that gives God the glory!
About Us
The Agape Center Vinton - Roanoke opened in July 2020. The center is located at 1568 Granby St NE in Roanoke, Virginia. We provide services, by appointment, to eligible clients in Roanoke, Vinton, Salem, and Botetourt County, Virginia.
The Executive Director, Dr. Sue Frase, said, “These areas do not currently have access to services we can provide so we are here to help fill in the gaps for these individuals and families. The Agape Center Vinton - Roanoke exists to reflect God’s love by giving of ourselves and our resources as we submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit to mentor and help individuals turn or return to a Christ centered life.” The Center’s primary objective will always be to provide spiritual and emotional support and encouragement through mentoring and prayer.
The Center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment, from 10am - 2pm and the second Saturday of the month, by appointment, from 9am - Noon. The Center is accepting donations of clothing, furniture, housewares, nonperishable food, and financial contributions. It is also seeking volunteers and churches to partner in this ministry. The center has 160 volunteers from 27 churches in the Roanoke Valley.
