About Us

The Vinton-Roanoke Area Agape Center opened in July 2020.  The center is located at 1568 Granby St NE in Roanoke, Virginia.  We provide services, by appointment,  to eligible clients in Roanoke, Vinton, Salem, Botetourt County and Montvale, Virginia.

The Executive Director, Dr. Sue Frase, said, “These areas do not currently have access to services we can provide so we are here to help fill in the gaps for these individuals and families. The Vinton-Roanoke Area Agape Center exists to reflect God’s love by giving of ourselves and our resources as we submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit to mentor and help individuals turn or return to a Christ-centered life.” The Center’s primary objective will always be to provide spiritual and emotional support and encouragement through mentoring and prayer.

The Center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and the second Saturday of the month, by appointment,  from 9:00 a.m. - noon.  The Center is accepting donations of clothing, furniture, housewares, nonperishable food and financial contributions.  It is also seeking volunteers and churches to partner in this ministry.  The center has 160 volunteers from 27 churches in the Roanoke Valley.
