What a blessing for people as myself and children with low income that God answered our prayers for help with this program and the volunteers that take the time to serve us, and the prayers they offer us. There was a season where life left me shattered, pregnant, homeless, and abandoned in South Carolina, with children in my arms and no one to call. I lost my job, my car, and every ounce of security. We lived in several hotels until the money ran out. All I had left was faith - fragile, but still burning. With nothing but brokenness and hope, I put my name on a housing list in Virginia and came here with empty hands and a praying heart. That's when the Agape Center entered into my life. They wrapped me in love, clothed me with dignity, and reminded me I was never forgotten. Now, I've given my life to the Lord. I've tasted restoratio,n and I'm walking proof that God still lifts the lowly, heals the hurting, and still turns ashes into beauty.

Agape has helped me out when I was short on food. People here are always so friendly - easy to talk to. I can always call and talk to someone. (They also) helped me when my husband was hospitalized by praying with me, which brought him back from almost dying. I would recommend the Agape Center to anyone who needs help with clothing, food, prayer or hope.

Mr. Raymond is a God-send. From the first time I met Mr. Raymond with my 78-year-old mother, I could tell there was something different about him. From his personal prayers that he writes down, he's a blessing in our midst. He's extra, a God-send, compassionate, personal, has empathy, and lastly, he's a loving man of God. The last time I visited, Mr. Raymond asked, "Do you need anything?" I said, "I don't know, maybe some silverware?". He said, "You got that a few months ago." Me and moms almost received everything we needed from Agape! He said it again, but said, "Something big?" I said, "Maybe some furniture? I found chairs on the side of the road and that's what moms sits on." He said, "I'll put you down for a love seat?" I said "Sure mom could use a sturdy chair to sit on." To make a long story short, we got a loveseat here and I LOVE AGAPE!
